Ken Bierschbach: Press

Brand New Clothes

Even within a single song ("Bonnie," "Watching You Watching Him") on his fourth studio album, West Michigan singer-songwriter Ken Bierschbach displays the breadth of his writing and genre-bending power. Equal parts country, rock, folk and pop, the veteran performer--from the popular trio 13th Hour--has crafted his strongest collection of songs yet. And an all star cast of musicians backs him up.

Voyeur Constant

With his third album, Grand Rapids-based singer-songwriter Ken Bierschbach displays a knack for storytelling and lyrically hitting the mark on a variety of emotions, all within the framework of interesting musical arrangements.
Overall, this independently released CD is a highly enjoyable listening experience.
With a pleasant and likable voice sometimes reminiscent of Gordon Lightfoot, the album is full of treasures, such as the strong ballad "Final Conversation" and the standout track "My Daddy's Eyes," which has a cool Rick Nelson/Roy Orbison vibe to it.

Somewhere Out There

"...Ken Bierschbach masterfully tells stories of love, strife, pain and Elvis on this CD..."
"...a voice that occasionally recalls country crooners like Garth Brooks and soft-rockers like Al Stewart or Gordon
Lightfoot..."
"...splendid lines, especially on the dark "A Song Unsung" and harder-rocking "Safe With
Me."
"...This CD should be the right vehicle to steer more people his way."

John Sinkevics - The Grand Rapids Press

"Ken Bierschbach knows how to jigsaw together a song so that the finished patchwork is seamless and genuine."
